Practical tools for healthy city design

Our health and wellbeing is more important than ever. Cities around the world are currently investing in walking and cycling. A good start, but it doesn't end there. The healthy city is also about proximity, inclusiveness, affordable housing, healthy food and contact with nature. So how do we start building healthier cities?

The healthy city game

Playing our moderated board game introduces healthy city design concepts in a playful way. It helps to create a shared understanding on urban health and is the ideal activity to kick-off a new project, new program, or a lecture series. You can play it with people from different domains (mobility, health, planning, climate, etc.) to spark interesting conversations and increase engagement.

How does it work?

We will come to any EU location and play the game with up to 20 people, in parallel groups of 5 players. We introduce the game rules, guide the game, and organize a critical reflection afterwards. Download the brochure below for more information.

The healthy city guide

Read all about how to start building healthier cities in our practical guide, which you can download in Dutch or English below. It is packed with interesting insights about the influence of the built environment on our health and many inspiring examples that have already been realized today.
