The right to rest in Rotterdam
Rotterdam doesn’t lack for entertainment, crowds or traffic. But for a city to be a pleasant place to live, people need to be able to take a break amid the buzz. AIR (Architectuur Instituut Rotterdam) asked PosadMaxwan to assess the city centre to see how well it meets the need for quiet spots.

Han Dijk presented the findings and made the case for peaceful places in the city at the Stadmakerscongres (Citymakers’ Conference) on 9 November at Theater Rotterdam. Attendees marked their favourite quiet spots on a map. Add yours on our interactive map, created with the help of GIS.
