PosadMaxwan and Arcadis have been selected to work on behalf of the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer on the Traffic Study Stationskwartier Hoofddorp within the first phase of the Spoorzone Development Framework.

The Stationskwartier Hoofddorp is in full development. An important step is the simplification of the Kruisweg-N201 intersection, with the aim of achieving an optimal balance between smooth traffic flow and high spatial quality. This will create more development space for the Stationkwartier and extra attention will be paid to high-quality public space. The transformation from a traffic function to a residential function is central to this.

Essential starting points are the Traffic Structure Plan Hoofddorp and the Development Framework Spoorzone which strive for a maximally compact connection, with restoration of the historic polder structure and the characteristic straight roads and watercourses of the Haarlemmermeer.
